Like a second skin

Leather has served mankind as a second skin from time immemorial. It absorbs moisture produced by the body, while protecting it from external wetness. Leather is naturally-breathing, hard-wearing, tear-resistant and very long-lasting. It must be the only material that becomes more charming and appealing the older it gets.

Leather comes in two basic forms: smooth (full-grain), often referred to simply as “leather”, and suede, which has a more silky texture. This natural product is extremely comfortable, making it a fashion favorite for both summer and winter wear. Please bear in mind that leather stretches a little when worn. This means that leather trousers should be very close-fitting when you first put them on.

Astrid uses a variety of the very highest-quality leathers for coats, jackets, waistcoats, shirts and trousers.
